St. Clement Community (3/18)

Dear St. Clement Parishioners,

In line with the Alameda County “Shelter in Place” order and direction from Bishop Barber, effective 3/17/2020 St. Clement is temporarily suspending all public masses (daily and weekend), liturgies, classes, and events until further notice. Bishop Barber has granted dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass for all Catholics in the Diocese of Oakland.

During this time, I exhort that you keep the faith, and stay connected with Jesus and our church through prayer and meditation. I recommend that we continue praying our devotions, ( such as the Rosary, Divine Mercy, etc.) and reflect on daily and Sunday scriptures. You can also watch the Mass on television on EWTN or stream it on the internet.

Also, in these challenging times, I humbly ask you to still continue supporting our parish financially. Amidst the current turmoil, we continue to pay the operational costs to sustain our parish, including our Parish Staff. I meekly encourage you to donate in one of the following ways:

I thank you in advance for the love, care and generosity you continue to show St. Clement Church. Although we are not able to celebrate the sacraments in person, let us remain united in the spirit of communion as one community of faith, and continue to pray for all those who are sick.

In Christ,
Rev. Rolando Bartolay
Parochial Administrator

Rev. Rolando Bartolay
Administrador Parroquial

Welcome to Saint Clement

We are happy to have you with us as a registered member of our Parish of St. Clement. May you find a home here and see in our parish a community that desires to love and serve one another as sisters and brothers in Christ. St. Clement Parish was established in 1951. It takes the name from Clement, a priest and martyr of the early church who was the third pope to succeed St. Peter. He is remembered for his love of the Gospel and for the peace and unity he encouraged among the people of the early Church.

As the Church of St. Clement, we desire to be witnesses of these same kinds of Christian virtues in the generosity and hospitality we show to one another and to all people a church alive in our faith in Jesus Christ! St. Clement Parish provides parochial ministries to help the community of St. Clement develop as a faith community. Each Ministry helps its members to achieve the knowledge, counsel, wisdom, and understanding to become an enriched member of the faith community. Through education and community events, the St. Clement Ministries help strengthen the St. Clement Community. St. Clement also provides for special community ministries that are run through dedicated volunteers to help their fellow brothers and sisters.
